Gambling regulators in Mississippi are
talking again about repealing a ban on the use of armed security guards, after 21 robberies at casinos this year. Mississippi Gaming Commission chairman Len Blackwell says the state owes it to guests to provide as safe an environment as it can. Blackwell said he will urge Governor Ronnie Musgrove to name a task force to recommend
steps that could be taken at the casinos.
On Friday, three masked men walked into Fitzgerald`s Casino at Tunica, with two of the men pulling handguns on an unarmed security guard. Jeff Piselli, Tunica County public information officer, said the robbers demanded to be taken to a specific teller`s cage.
