NLR Soldier Injured in Iraq

A North Little Rock man was among the soldiers injured in Iraq Friday after a bomb exploded near Tikrit. Corporal Eric Hale was traveling in a convoy at about 4:00pm CST when a remoted-controlled bomb detonated, his family said Saturday. Hale was hit by shrapnel when the bomb exploded. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery to remove the shrapnel from his body. The family says he`s expected to make a full recovery.
