Good News for Cell Phone Users

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
More and more Americans are refusing to be tethered to a wall during a phone conversation. Now the Federal Government is supporting your choice to go wireless. New rules will allow you to switch your home phone to a wireless while keeping your original phone number. Several Arkansans - many of whom e already using a cell as their primary phone - say the measure is long overdue. "It`s just more convenient because I`m never home," says Jennifer Ratola, a Little Rock resident. "I`m always at work. If I`m on the road, I have it with me." Some local carriers say they`ll comply with a november 24th deadline for customers who request the switch.
