breaking news
One week after suffering serious head injuires in a car crash, a local quarterback is being remembered by friends and family.
Seventeen-year-old Matt Burdick lost control of his car just 2 days after playing his first game as Joe T. Robinson High`s quarterback. Today his teammates honored him as someone who was a leader on and off the field, often giving them that smile in the hallway that would turn a bad day around. Youth pastors who led the service at the Church at Rock Creek reminded everyone there that the ceremony was a celebration of Matt`s life and not only about sadness. They applauded Matt for being the kind of person who tried to make a difference, an impact player in life. Matt will have an impact long after his death. Organs he donated are already helping four people, three in Arkansas and one in Georgia.
