Clarence and Brenda Robinson say apologies won`t bring back their grandson, 3 year old Tavian Johnson. North Little Rock Police say Tavain was taken to the Smart Start Learning Center in North Little Rcok. Around 3:30 Thursday afternoon- employees realized someone left Tavian in the day care`s van all day in the hot sun. Tavian was pronounced dead a short time later. Brenda Robinson says the employees should have been more careful.
"Someone could have come out and checked on him if they knew he wasn`t in the building."
Clarence Robinson says he`ll miss the little light of his life. "They might say they`re sorry but that doesn`t bring someone back to life."
Officials with the Department of Human Services says the owners of Smart Start have voluntarily relinquished their license.
