Faculty at Central Arkansas University will
receive a three-percent raise in October.
School President Lu Hardin said today the raises will be paid
for with an additional four (m) million dollars in revenue
generated by a one-thousand student increase in enrollment this
year.
The school also received one-point-six (m) million dollars in
increased legislative funding.
Hardin says all faculty and unclassified staff hired before July
first will receive the raises. He promised to "improve faculty
salaries as well as classified salaries" in his annual faculty
address last month.
