Deputies in Hempstead County arrested a man in Hope today wanted in a triple slaying at a steakhouse in Texarkana, Texas. Officials say 25-year-old Stephon Lavelle Walter was wanted for capital murder in the killings of three workers at an Outback Steakhouse. Hempstead County Sheriff Jerry Crane says Walter has made an appearance before a judge and waived extradition proceedings. The bodies of 31-year-old steakhouse proprietor Matt Hines, 23-year-old Chrissy Willis and 24-year-old Rebecca Shifflet were found early Monday in the restaurant office. Shifflet was six months pregnant.
