The federal government is giving the state of Arkansas a $3.9 million dollar bonus for its management of the state`s food stamp program. Governor Huckabee says the state had a low error rate in administering the program, and that`s the reason for the award. The money will be put toward the program`s overall budget and help the food stamp delivery system by providing training, equipment and computer support. Last year, the program handed out $256 million to 433,000 Arkansas residents.
