Gas Prices Take Holiday Hike

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
When you gas up the car your Labor Day roadtrip, it`ll probably cost you more than it did a couple of weeks ago. Gas prices have taken another hike just before the holiday weekend begins. In the Little Rock Metro Region, prices range between $1.44 and $1.66 per gallon. That`s a spike of about 10 to 15 cents in the last couple of weeks. "It costs me about $40 to $50 to fill up my van per week, and my husband, it`s the same for his truck so it`s about $100 a week on gas," said Tammy George, a Cabot resident. Anaylysts say the causes of this recent spike included the ruptured gas pipeline in Arizona and the blackout in the Northeast and Midwest.
