Alleged Dog Abuse Case Goes To Court

Two Jonesboro teenagers entered no contest pleas today to misdemeanor charges of animal abuse and theft of property in a dog killing case. Ron "Nick" Allison and Matt Harden were accused of abducting their friend`s dog, a five-year-old Chow named Pooh, in June and killing it. Harden and Allison each were sentenced to 30 days in jail with 29 suspended, 80 hours of public service, one year probation, one year of counseling and 550 dollars in fines. Harden says he`s sorry for what happened. The pair were accused of beating the dog to death. The dog`s head was found at the bottom of a drained swimming pool blocks away. Posted by Mike Hellgren
