Members of Arkansas` congressional delegation are announcing more than one million dollars in grants for runway safety at Little Rock National Airport. The grant will finance an upgrade to a system that helps stop aircraft from running off the runway. The current arresting system will get a coating that is resistant to jet blasts. The grant is being issued through the federal Department of Transportation. It was announced by Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and Representative Vic Snyder.
