Police have arrested a woman after her three-year-old daughter was found in a hot car and died. Police arrested 36-year-old Mary Christina Cordell of Springdale on suspicion of manslaughter on Monday. Police say a history of negligent acts by Cordell persuaded police to recommend charges of manslaughter to prosecutors. Police say an investigation confirmed the girl, Brianna, died of overheating, shortly after being found in her mother`s car August Eighth. Police measured the temperature in a nearby car that day and found it to be 126 degrees. Brianna`s mother told police she woke from a two-hour nap that day to realize Brianna was missing. While her boyfriend searched the apartment complex, Cordell called police. The boyfriend later found the girl unresponsive in the back seat.
