New Cops on Patrol

Updated: January 7, 2009
There are some new cops walking the beats in Little Rock. The department graduated twelve new recurits to the police force, Friday afternoon. They`ve been short-staffed lately, so much they had to cancel a camp that`s normally staffed by officers. Officials say every bit of officers helps, but this class won`t be able to make up the difference. "These officers will be on patrol, that may allow some officers currently in patrol to go to other divisions, but again this is just a small class," says Officer Cassandra Davis. These new officers will first spend a few weeks on patrol with other more experienced officers before patrolling on their own.
