Benton Teens Protest Firing Of Police Chief

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The firing of Benton`s police chief brought protests from an unlikely source: teenagers. Here`s a look at what some of them told us outside city hall on Thursday night: "We`re just protesting against the mayor because he fired the chief of police, and he`s the best chief of police we`ve had." "I just don`t think it`s right." "That does not set a good example for anyone else in Benton." "He came up and talked to us about stuff. He didn`t just blow us off like we were teenagers." "I hope they bring back the chief of police, and I`m going to stand out here until they do."
