A little boy who who endured months of silence after suddenly losing his hearing -- heard his mother`s voice again today. Melissa Moore was the first person to speak to 10-year-old Mitchell Moore after an audiologist at Arkansas Children`s Hospital successfully turned on his cochlear implant. "Can you hear me," said Melissa. "Yeah," said Mitchell. "But it sounds a little bit fuzzy and squeaky. It sounds like a mouse talking to me." Arkansas Children`s Hospital performs about 25 cochlear implants each year. Even though mitchell`s implant was successful, he will have to undergo months of speech therapy and learn to hear all over again. However, doctors say he will be able to live a normal life.
