A new report from RealtyTrac indicates one-in-every 593 households were served with a foreclosure filing in April.
That's a slowdown, but RealtyTrac CEO James Saccacio says it's mainly due to delays in the processing procedure.
Completed foreclosures are taking an average of 400 days nationwide.
There are still nearly four-million loans that are delinquent by 90 days.
Banks say they are acting as fast as they can to ease their own losses.
