Pain Perdu with Scalloped Apples

Pain Perdu:
4 thick slices French baguette
2 eggs, cream, ˝ c sugar-mix well
Soak bread in Egg mixture at least 1 hour
Heat sauté pan. Add 1 to 2 T butter to melt. Add soaked bread and fry until golden brown on both sides. Plate and top with scalloped apples and drizzle with Maple Syrup
Scalloped Apples:
4 cooking apples of your choice, peeled and sliced
Butter
Sugar
Maple Syrup
In a hot sauté pan, melt butter. Add sugar and apples and cook over medium heat until apples are soft.
