After deliberating a day and a half, the panel weighing Dunn's guilt or innocence in the killing of former Miss Arkansas contestant Nona Dirksmeyer sent word to the judge that they were hopelessly deadlocked.
The vote was stuck at eight to four, the same division that ended Dunn's April 2010 trial on the same charge.
Though the first jury was leaning toward acquittal, the breakdown of this split won't be known until later today, as Circuit Judge Bill Pearson ordered reporters to leave jurors alone till Monday.
Dunn remains in custody, as prosecutors say they'll try him yet again for the 2005 murder of the Arkansas Tech student.
