Training Tip 18: Take a Break!

Remember your family and friends who really don't understand your reasoning for going 13.1 and 26.2 miles but they have supported you through this whole training period?
They've listened to you every week when you come back and tell them about splits, negative splits, positive splits.
They have looked at your funky toe nails when you take your shoes off.
This is the time, if you haven't done so all along, is to kind of see what they're wanting to do on the weekends.
Yes, you still have your long mileage, but go to the movies, take a break. Go out with your family and friends and try not to overload.
