Motorists are paying nearly ten cents more for gas than they were less than a month ago.

That's according to the latest Lundberg survey, compiled by industry analyst Trilby Lundberg.

The survey shows the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas stands at roughly $3.08.

Three weeks ago that price was $2.98.

If you go back a year, the price is up just over 34 cents.

The most recent survey, completed on January 7th, found Chicago drivers shelling out the most at $3.35 a gallon, while Salt Lake City was home to the cheapest gas, at $2.73 a gallon.
