Little Rock Marathon Registration Fees Go up January 1st

Athletes planning to participate in the 2011 Little Rock Marathon in early March may want to register sooner rather than later. Total registrations are up 12.77-percent as compared to this time last year and registration fees increase on January 1st.

Slated for March 4 – 6, 2011, the Little Rock Marathon Weekend is six separate events, which includes a two-day Health & Fitness Expo, the Little Rock Marathon (26.2 miles), the Little Rock Half Marathon (13.1 miles), the Little Rock Relay Marathon (26.2 miles divided into four sections with each individual running/walking a little over 6 miles), the Little Rock 5K (3.1 miles) and the Little Rockers Kids Marathon (26.2 miles completed over an extended time frame). Participants can run, walk or do a combination of running and walking in any of the events.

Race officials anticipate another sell out year between 9,000 to 10,000 participants race weekend. The marathon, half marathon and relay marathon events have sold out in the past and race officials are anticipate another sell out of the limited fields.

Online registration fees before midnight on December 31st are: $80 for the marathon, $60 for the half marathon, $42.50 (per person) for the relay marathon, $25 for the 5K and $20 for the Little Rockers Kids Marathon.

After midnight, online registration fees will be $90 for the marathon, $70 for the half marathon, $47.50 (per person) for the relay marathon, $30 for the 5K and $20 for the Little Rockers Kids Marathon. Mailed registrations are approximately $10 higher than online registration.
