Training Tip 9 from Little Rock Marathon Coach Tom Singleton:

Okay, the holiday season is upon us. That means the schedules are blown all out of our water. Our diets are kind of off kilter.

This is a great time to let the rhythm and routine of your training schedule kick in to kind of help keep you on the right track, running long, doing the things that you know you have to do and not let the excesses of the season kind of catch up with you.

If they do catch up with you a little bit, maybe you had just a little bit too much to eat, or a little bit too much fun, that extra long run this weekend will kind of help burn off some of those extra calories.

So, enjoy the holidays. Remember to incorporate your training into your holiday season and don't be afraid to be a little flexible to make everything work.
