Frightfully New Things for Little Rock's Boo at the Zoo

Frankenstein and his bride announced today at the Little Rock Zoo that little witches and warlocks will celebrate Halloween this year at the NEW Boo at the Zoo, October 21-24 and 28-31 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Boo at the Zoo is Arkansas’s largest Halloween festival and this year features added amenities and attractions including:

  • NEW lighting and light design throughout the event
  • NEW Haunted Reptile House
  • Newly Designed Haunted Train
  • Newly Designed Haunted House
  • Newly Designed Hay Maze
  • NEW Inflatables
  • NEW Stick Pony Corral
  • NEW Bungee-Cord Gravity Jumper and Rock Climbing Wall
  • FREE Over-the-Jumps Carousel rides
  • NEW Ghost Roast S’mores area
  • NEW TatZOO Parlor
  • NEW Fortune Teller
  • NEW Haunted Veldt Walkway
  • NEW Nightly Magic Shows and Costume Contests

This year at Boo, Frankenstein and his bride will marry each night of Boo and the public is invited to the reception at Frankenstein’s Dance Party where dance troupes from area dance studios will kick-off the festivities with the “Thriller” dance.

The new magic show will be performed by magicians from Ring 29 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians at the Civitan Amphitheater each night of Boo.  

Boo at the Zoo 2010 is produced by Eyren Mills and co-produced by Rodger Reeder, two event specialists who have themed exhibits and attraction for Walt Disney Land and Walt Disney World. They, along with art director Larry West of Larry West Interiors and Byl Harriell of Bylites, have added new special effects, updated lighting around the Zoo, and added new design elements to the haunted house, haunted train, and to all areas of the Zoo.  

Boo at the Zoo will also offer its traditional trick-or-treating at treat stops throughout the Zoo, a nightly costume contest, delicious concessions, and lots of Halloween fun!
