Powerball Jackpot Grows to $80 Million

Updated: May 6, 2010
The Powerball jackpot has grown to $80-million after no winner took the grand prize in Wednesday night's drawing. The winning numbers were 13 - 34 - 40 - 47 - 57, PB 11, Power Play x4.

Three lucky tickets sold in Colorado (1), Pennsylvania (1), and Texas (1) matched all 5 white numbers with the Power Play and won $1 million cash each. This was a result of the Power Play feature that turns any match 5 white ball win with the Power Play into a 5X multiplier and pushes the prize up to $1 million. For a limited time during the current “Power Play 10X” promotion, all prizes (except the jackpot) can be multiplied up to 10 times for the same $1 Power Play cost.

One ticket from New York (1) matched 5 white balls and won $200,000 cash. In addition, 742,260 tickets across the nation won a total of $8,481,887 in prizes.

Fourteen tickets sold in Arkansas won $400 prizes for matching either four white balls or three white balls and the Powerball plus having the Power Play option.

The cash option for the Saturday, May 8th drawing will be an estimated $39.5 million.

Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels.
