I was diagnosed in October of 2008, I am seventy years old and on my journey I met many women young and old with breast cancer. My heart went out to them, We shared so many stories as we waited for our treatment . We laughed, cried and prayed together . I never realized how many young women were affected, I would like to race for the cure for them and myself, I finished radiation treatments in March. My Husband was my rock through this journey, I have developed lymphadema due to the radiation and will start treatment for that this month. Thank you for the opportunity to share why I want to race. My husband and a friend from work will also be racing for the cure.
