One winning ticket sold in South Carolina contained the winning numbers 14, 24, 31, 43, 51 and the Powerball 27 to snatch the estimated 250-million-dollar jackpot.
That's the tenth-largest jackpot in Powerball history.
The all-time record was set in 2006 when a group of co-workers from a Con Agra Foods plant in Nebraska won 365-million bucks.
The current Powerball jackpot has now been reset to 20 million dollars.
Powerball is played in 30 states, Washington, DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Arkansas Lottery Commission decided earlier this summer to join the Powerball lottery.
Tickets will be sold in Arkansas starting on Halloween (October 31).
