Tara Blackston, Conway
My name is Tara. I currently live in Conway. Back in the early- mid ninties, I had a the difficult task of getting pregnant. Through countless tests, the Dr. found I had cancer. I still tried for a baby. in 1994 i gave birth to a son. Then 2 years later I gave birth to a little girl. Since my children I have had to go through countless testing, pokes and prods. In '95 I started to undergo numerous surgeries to battle the cancer. Finally, in 2001, my final surgery was performed. And then chemo. I then was found to have a large lump in my left breast. I walk every year for a cure except for the past 3 years due to illness. I vow to walk this year, rain or shine, in sickness or health. Sounds like wedding vows
I don't feel bothered that I may need assistance, I just want t o show my strenghth and support. For all the countless women who are in the same boat, us women really do fight for each other and stick together, ALWAYS.
