September 28th to be exact.
The idea was suggested by Ernie Passailaigue this afternoon in Little Rock during a Lottery Commission meeting at Philander Smith College.
In other business, the commission voted to save an estimated $800,000 a year on live drawings and use a random number generator instead.
That was one of several cost saving measures that Passailaigue suggested to commissioners.
He also told the panel that eliminating lottery sponsorships would save another $800,000. The commission voted for the cost cutting idea but left open the possibility for promotion hires, saving about $675,000.
