Eighteen jobs are now listed on the Arkansas Lottery Commission website as the State Lottery approved by voters in November continues to take shape.

The large number of applicants interested in the jobs has forced the commission to make some changes in the application process.

On its website, the commission states: "Due to the extraordinary volume of applications for the posted lottery jobs, and to the burden created by the number of applications in the Arkansas State Jobs website format, the method has changed for applying for employment with the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery." Earlier this summer, the commission posted 13 job openings, and in recent weeks added five more. The job titles are: Accountant, Advertising Manager, Claims Assistant, Controller, Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Security, Draw Manager (Part Time), Fiscal Analyst, Human Resources Generalist, Human Resources Manager, Information Technology Gaming Director, Internal Auditor, Licensing Specialist, Lottery Security Manager, Marketing & Sales Representative, Promotion and Special Events Coordinator, Retailer, Key Account and Training Director and Treasurer.

The commission website includes detailed qualification information for almost all of the jobs on its website (click here).

Also on the site, information for retailers (click here) interested in selling lottery tickets. As of July 1, the commission had received 348 inquiries with a potential of 1,092 retailer locations, with a goal of 2,500 retailer locations.
