AR Lottery Chief's $324K Salary Approved

The newly named Executive Director of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery will make $324,000 a year.

Ernie Passailaigue's salary was approved this morning by the Arkansas Lottery Commission Legislative Oversight Committee, during a meeting at the State Capitol.

The committee was authorized to go another $30,000 higher for Passailaigue's salary, but settled on the $324,000 figure.

Passailaigue comes to Arkansas after running the South Carolina Education Lottery.

He was hired for the job on Friday and starts on July 1.
