The Arkansas Lottery Commission is meeting for a two-day retreat at Petit Jean State Park.

The executive director of the South Carolina lottery along with the president of the Georgia lottery addressed the commission on Thursday.

They advised the commission to be careful in their search for an executive director--saying that it needs to be someone extremely trust-worthy.

They also talked about how Arkansas can make a good first impression on people within the state as well as in surrounding states.

Right now Arkansas is losing 250 thousand dollars a day without the lottery in place. The commissioner says they are under pressure to get this up and running.

The commission will continue to meet tomorrow and discuss criteria for executive director position.
