Lawmakers say the state-run lottery is on track for its launch in the Fall.

Six members of the nine-member lottery commission already have been appointed, and three appointments are due from Governor Mike Beebe.

The commission then will hire an executive director and staff.

The lottery will be used to fund college scholarships, and lawmakers plan to set the grant amounts when they return in February for the 2010 fiscal session.
