More Arkansans are trying to kick the habit, now that it costs more to smoke.
Arkansas Stop Smoking helpline usually averages more than 1,000 calls a month.
But, last week alone, more than 2,600 people called for help.
On March 1st, taxes on tobacco rose by 56 cents per pack.
