State Lawmakers Put Heavy Focus on Lottery Legislation

It's a sure bet that state lawmakers will accomplish at least one major goal this session -- they will hammer out the necessary legislation creating a statewide lottery.

A draft bill establishing oversight parameters of the lottery was unveiled last week.

As state lawmakers enter the seventh week of the session today, plans are to unveil the scholarship portion of the planned lottery this week.
