The Pope is about to become the latest YouTube sensation.

Beginning today, the Vatican is launching a channel on the video-sharing site where the Catholic faithful will be able to see Pope Benedict the 16th or church events.

The site will reportedly carry video and audio footage of the Pontiff's speeches in the church's biggest venture ever into cyberspace.

A Vatican spokesman says the Pope wants to reach out to the digital generation.
