We've told you how the bad economy is making everyone struggle...even those who are in the business of lifting people up.

Back in September, members of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock, opened their doors to Hurricane Gustav evacuees, offering food and shelter to those in need of a safe haven.

Wednesday night we spoke to one preacher who says churches everywhere are struggling with their budgets...and right now it's hard for everyone to give.

"People are really having a tough time right now trying to make ends meet. And that's one of the church's missions is to take care of its own and to reaching out to people in the community. We think the church has a really good opportunity to do what God would have us to do," Chuck Monan said, who is a preacher at the church.

And the preacher says they're ready for whatever comes next....and won't hesitate to reach out to anyone in need.
