Faith Matters: Praying During Difficult Times

 There’s not denying that times are tough for many Arkansans.

But Sunday, several decided to turn their worries over to God.

Because faith matters, dozens of prayerful people gathered on the steps of the State Capitol to ask for divine guidance and direction just days before the election.

They also prayed for those suffering from this country's economic downturn.


“As we come upon the election, it might be a good idea to pause and take time to pray for our country. Pray for those who help govern the country, for the people of our country. Pray for the issues that challenge and confront our country,” said Reverend Steve Copley of the United Methodist Church


All members of the community were invited to the prayer gathering, including those seeking public office
