When you're a kid, nothing is more fun than putting on your Halloween costume and trick or treating... eating candy might rank up there.

But what about the classic Halloween myth about criminals that poison candy and put razorblades in apples?

It turns out that only two children have been poisoned by tainted candy, and in both cases one of their parents intentionally did it.

We talked to a lot of Arkansans who celebrate Halloween and all of them say they aren't too concerned about the candy myth.

Several parents told us they may be worried about letting their kids trick or treat in neighborhoods they aren't familiar with, but tainted candy isn't high on their lists of worries.

"It's a myth, I don't believe it, I mean I'm taking my kids trick or treating and of course I'll check it, but I don't believe in it," says parent Michael Rivera.

Two other myths that Arkansans say they don't believe that Halloween can save our economy and that vampires may actually exist.
