The "High School Musical" franchise has notched another box office win. "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" sold 42-million dollars worth of tickets in North America for the three days beginning Friday.
It grossed 40-million-dollars internationally.
That makes it number one both nationally and internationally.
It's the first world-wide chart-topper since Batman sequel "The Dark Knight" in July.
Horror flick "Saw V" took second place with 30-point-five million, while the Mark Wahlberg thriller "Max Payne" slid to number three with seven-point-six billion.
