It's that time of year again when crowds of children will be making their way to school each morning. The new school year starts today for many of Arkansas' school districts.
For parents who need information about their child's school, most have websites that are listed on the Arkansas Public School Computer Network, by clicking here.
The Little Rock School District wants to remind parents about important transportation information for students who'll be taking the bus.
The district lists the following important phone numbers for parents whose students are transported to school on the bus. The Little Rock School District’s main transportation line is 447-4165.
Eligible bus students who were registered in the Little Rock School District before July 18 were mailed a postcard notifying them of their stop information.
LRSD students who registered after July 18 may contact the school to receive a bus stop assignment.
For students with special needs or who attend an alternative learning center, call 447-7550.
Students who attend a LRSD school, but do not live in the attendance zone should contact the district they live in for transportation information.
North Little Rock School District’s transportation number is 340-5150.
The Pulaski County Special School District’s transportation number is 490-5760 or 982-9416.
