Yard Sales More Popular Than Ever

With the cost of so many things going up, yard sales might be the only safe places to shop for real bargains.

This weekend we visited a few local yard sales for a peek inside this protecting your pocketbook idea.  In Little Rock's Hillcrest neighborhood yard sales were packing them in.

There was everything on the table you could imagine, with prices ranging mostly from a few cents to a few dollars with some higher-priced items here and there.

Some tips for successful yard sales include:

- separate prices on items for single family yard sales

- group many items and charge the same price (have a dollar table; all toys this group 50 cents)

- post a sign the day before a garage sale stating, "Garage Sale Tomorrow"

- make your yard sale signs noticeable! BIG and bright with big letters and big arrows.
