elderLong term health care is getting more expensive, as fewer people wabt to become long-term health care nurses.

But in a report released today, the annual cost of care in Arkansas right now is reasonably low.

A private bedroom at a nursing home will run you nearly $50,000.

A private bedroom in assisted living is around $24,000.

But in the next 30 years, the projected cost of that same room in the nursing home will be $186,000 in Arkansas.

More than triple the amount.

The room in assisted living will be $89,000.
