 How have changes in the economy affected your life? Paying for gas tops the list of a survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation. 44 percent of families making 75 thousand dollars a year say paying for gas was a serious problem for them. For families earning less than 30- thousand, about 63 percent felt the same. A good paying job, paying for health care and difficulty paying rent or mortgage were also in the top five.
