Sunday is the start of one of the most important celebrations in the Judeo-Christian faith.

And that's why faith matters -- for worshippers attending Palm Sunday services Sunday morning.  At Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock, children waived fresh palm leaves. The traditional worship service that marks Christ's entry into Jerusalem a week before being crucified.

"It gets its name from the crowds that were following Jesus into Jerusalem and as they were waiving palm branches and shouting as he went into the city...The actual Sunday is also based on celebrating Passover. Because today is also for the people of the Jewish faith to celebrate Passover," explained Rev. Victor Nixon, with Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.

And next Sunday, the church along with other congregations will host the 20th Annual Community Easter Sunrise Service.  The inter-denominational gathering meets at the Riverfront Amphitheater. The service starts at 7 a.m.
