A study suggests obesity among pregnant women does not have a major effect on obesity in their children.
Researchers tested sugar and fat levels in pregnant mom's to see if it could permanently affect the baby's appetite control and metabolism.
The weight of both mom and dad correlated in some ways with children's body mass index, but it wasn't significant enough to explain the recent obesity epidemic.
