How Your Body Reacts to Springing Forward

clock2008-03-07-1204909387.jpgWhile most of us will turn our clocks ahead one hour this weekend to recognized daylight savings time, our bodies won't spring ahead without a bit of a fight. That lost hour of time usually translates into a lost hour of sleep.  

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine say the fatigue that results can last as long as two weeks in some people. 

Here's some helpful tips to keep your body on full power:

Eat dinner an hour earlier Saturday
Avoid evening naps 
Minimize driving or operating heavy machinery Sunday and Monday
