Flat Polyps More Likely To Turn Cancerous

A new study finds polyps in the colon, that are hard to detect, carry a high risk for cancer. While polyps carry an increased risk for colon cancer, researchers found the flat ones were ten times more likely to develop into cancer. Researchers are planning more studies to find out if removing the lesions will lower the risk for cancer.
