The federal government wants your child to get a flu shot and on Wednesday recommended all school-age children -- up to age 18 should be vaccinated. Before now, the vaccine was only routinely recommended for children six months to five years old. But new evidence suggests getting the flu shot reduced hospital visits 75 percent for toddlers and preschoolers -- and, could do the same for other children. With 30 million more children now recommended for vaccination by 2010, manufacturers will increase production. The full CDCs expected to approve this recommendation.
