No Link Between Autism, Vaccinations

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: February 5, 2008
A new study finds no link between autism and a vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella.

The study was done after a British doctor claimed such vaccinations could cause the developmental disorder.

More than 200 children were examined, and none were found to have developed autism after getting one of those shots.

The number of parents who immunize their children has dropped in both the U.S. and England since Dr. Andrew Wakefield's remarks.

All this week on KARK 4 Today, we're focusing on autism.

On Wednesday, the subject is different types of diets, including those that are gluten-free, for children with autism. Join Matt, Melissa and Mike starting at 5:00 a.m.
