It was an historic day at the Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock Sunday.

Because faith matters, the church joined with Lyon College to celebrate Presbyterian Scottish heritage.  The sound of bagpipes filled the church as representatives in traditional Tartan dress participated in the ceremony.  Prayers from Scottish faith traditions, hymns, and a blend of music medleys were all part of Sunday's service.

"We're tying to capture....capture that feel," explained Assoc. Pastor Camille LeBron Powell.

Pastor Steve Hancock and several other church leaders marched with the bagpipers and drummers.  The blessing of the tartans dates back to 1746.
